SAN ANTONIO-- Gilbert Garcia, 21, is charged with murder. He's accused of killing 21-year-old Jose Zamora on September 18, 2011.

The shooting happened at the Mink Ultra Club at 900 E. Bitters.

Police said a fight had taken place inside the bar and spilled into the parking lot.

Another fight ensued and police had to use pepper spray to put a stop to the fighting.

According to suspect's arrest warrant, Zamora tried to get his friends to leave and were in the process of taking off in the car when Garcia allegedly pulled out a gun and opened fire on the vehicle striking and killing Zamora.

Police said Zamora was a passenger in a vehicle and not the intended target.

Zamora was shot in the head. His friends rushed him to the hospital where he died.

Garcia addmitted to police he was at the club and had been in a fight but denied having a gun or taking part in the deadly shooting, according to his arrest warrant.

Investigators said a witness who knew both Garcia and Zamora came forwarded and identified Garcia as the shooter.

Garcia was booked into the Bexar County Jail on $250, 000 bond.
