A robbery and a murder: They are unrelated and unsolved. San Antonio police are asking for help piecing together clues in the two cases, and they are willing to pay up to $5,000 for tips that lead to an arrest in either investigation.

In one incident, authorities say the man in what appears to be a bright blue down jacket robbed a Valero station in the 1500 block of Austin Hwy at around midnight on December 14.

Police are also looking for clues in the September 2009 shooting murder of 31-year-old Evaristo Sierra. A friend discovered Sierra's body in the 12000 block of Maverick Bluff. Witnesses told police they saw a 4-door gold-colored vehicle speeding out of the area around the time of the murder.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information which leads to an arrest in either case.
