SAN ANTONIO - Investigators say five foreign nationals have been arrested following a break-in at the old Bexar County Courthouse.

Sheriff's department spokesman Louis Antu said he has no information to indicate the break-in is related to terrorism.

Investigators said three of the men allegedly climbed a fire escape to the downtown courthouse and entered an unlocked door on the fourth floor around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The men told police they were visiting from out of town, trying to get a better view of the city.

Two more suspects were found outside the courthouse. Police said all five were arrested.

Antu said the men are all in their 20s and were unarmed when they were arrested. Three of the men were caught inside while the other two were outside near their recreational vehicle.

Investigators said 90-day visas, maps, cell phones and computers were found inside the RV. Other documents found inside the RV showed the suspects have done extensive traveling to high-level security facilities around the country.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and local law enforcement were called to investigate.

Authorities said the men had French passports and were of Moroccan descent.

A bomb-sniffing dog swept the building but no explosives were found, police said.

Bexar County spokeswoman Laura Jesse said the courthouse will be open as usual during business hours Wednesday.

As a result of the break-in, San Antonio police increased patrols near military facilities, the National Security Administration, government buildings,  U.S. Post Offices, and the Southwest Research Institute.

Officers were looking for unusual activity, abandoned vehicles or RVs near the buildings.
