SAN ANTONIO -- Police say a 19-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly shooting his stepdad in the face while arguing in the middle of the street Wednesday evening.
San Antonio officers said they found the 43-year-old Roger Hernandez lying in the intersection of Piedmont and Schley when they responded to the shooting around 7:15 p.m.
Witnesses told police Hernandez was arguing with his stepson, Joshua Orcasitas, when Orcasitas pulled out a gun and fired a warning shot.
Police said Hernandez allegedly responded by saying, "If you're going to do it, then do it."
Orcasitas then shot the man in the face, killing him, police said.
However, some witnesses told police the alleged victim in the case was attacking the shooter during the domestic dispute. Police say Hernandez had planned to marry Orcasitas' mother.
Orcasitas was arrested and charged with murder. Police said both men were drinking.
