NEW BRAUNFELS -- A drunk driver seriously injured four people after causing a major accident in New Braunfels.

The incident happened just after 6 p.m. Sunday on Seguin Street near downtown New Braunfels.

Police say the 28-year-old suspect lost control of his truck and sideswiped another vehicle, then hit a pickup truck head on.

Paramedics had to fly two of the four victims to San Antonio. They are a 25-year-old man with unknown injuries, and a 61-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries.

EMS took another victim to a nearby hospital, and the other was treated at the scene.

Officers arrested the driver and charged him with three counts of intoxication assault.
