FORT WORTH — Cell phones are providing damning evidence in the trial of a former Kennedale High School teacher on trial for allegedly having sex with five of her students — including members of the football team.
First there's the "sexting." Then there's the text messages between them.
Brittni Colleps, a 28-year-old married mother or three, was an English teacher at KHS. Students bragged, and that led to her arrest last year.
On Tuesday, some of those students took the stand. We are not identifying them because of their ages and the nature of the alleged crimes.
One witness discussed the text messages that prosecutors say were sexual in nature between the students and Colleps.
She faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the improper relationships.
