So much to do, so little time to do it! San Antonio kicks into high gear this weekend with activities for kids. What do you want to do?

Story time? You’ve got it. Stop by and visit Miss Anastasia at The Twig on Friday at 10:30, and if that’s not enough, you can catch her again for Pajama Day at 10:30 on Saturday. Leave on your jammies, bring your sleeping bags and head on over to hear the Llama Llama story, share a craft, eat a treat and cuddle up for a great photo op. Both events are free. Or instead, grab your little princess and head over to the nearest Michaels for a Fancy Nancy free make-it and take-it craft and story time at 10 a.m.

If yours is a little older, you may want to wait until Sunday for the author book reading and signing with Tom Angleberger, who wrote “Darth Paper Strikes Back” and “The Strange Case of Origami Yoda” – a strange pair of books about an odd bird who speaks to his middle school classmates through an origami finger puppet of Yoda. Weird, I know. But my own Boy Genius/origami master is, frankly, fascinated. Go figure.

Trains. Got one who can’t get enough of Thomas, the Tank Engine? How about a real life giant Amtrak? In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Amtrak is bringing its traveling "Exhibit Train" with displays of photos, uniforms, china, and memorabilia from America’s Railroad℠ while also offering a glimpse into the future to Sunset Station on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. The free exhibit also includes Chuggington Depot, an area just for kids with Chuggington die-cast trains, a photo opportunity, a coloring mural, screenings of the Disney television series, a Chuggington story time, and more.

Fashion. Not so much into steel as fabric? No problem. How about the two-day Fashion Boot Camp 101 Saturday and Sunday at the Westin Riverwalk with fashion stylist Marissa Rizzuto. This is just for teens 13 to 18 who want to learn how to be fashion stylists and it covers the whole shebang: working with models, hair, makeup and professional photographers. But it will set you back a cool $395. Find out all the details here.

Stargazing. Or maybe you don’t want to work with the stars, you just want to watch them. Then join the San Antonio Astronomical Society for Astronomy in the Park on Wednesday night in McAllister Park, 13102 Jones Maltsberger, beginning at sunset. This is a free (and fun!) stargazing event. But I'd recommend only going out if there aren’t any clouds outside Wednesday night!

Stage lights. If you prefer your lights to be a little bit closer to Earth, check out these stage productions and theatre offerings this weekend and the rest of this month. And while you’re checking out the stage, be sure to register to win four tickets for a pre-opening screening of “Big Miracle,” a Universal Pictures movie starring Drew Barrymore, based on the true story of Operation Breakthrough.
