Shoppers brave the madness to snag last-minute Christmas gifts

Shoppers are racing against the clock tonight, and checking off their lists this weekend.

Time is running out to grab those last-minute gifts.

Joe and Marcy Chavez braved the long lines at Ingram Park Mall. The couple had two more things to buy and waited until the last minute.

"We wanted to be in the hustle and bustle," they said. “It’s always fun."

The Chavez family, like several others, stepped foot inside the newly renovated mall to get their final gifts before shops closed for the Christmas holiday.

Manager Tim Hill said that they have seen heavy foot traffic this week. He said shoppers may have waited longer to shop because of Christmas falling on a Monday.

“With the full weekend, they probably have the ability and feel more comfortable shopping a little bit later this year than maybe in previous years," he said.
