SAN ANTONIO - Deal News, a consumer website, ranked the best five places for Black Friday deals this year based on places with the lowest prices and most deals.
This year: Amazon, Newegg, Target, Walmart and Best Buy all made the list.
Amazon ranked No. 1 with editors noting its selection of free HD movies through its instant video service and its 75 percent-off discounts on winter coats from designer labels like Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. They also suggested keeping a look out for 32- and 50-inch LED TVs which went for $75 and $150 last year.
Amazon is also known for its lightning deals in which items can sell out just as quickly as in stores.
For your tech-lover friends, Newegg is the website to check out. You have to be patient for the savings though as many of the deals require you to mail in a rebate once Black Friday is over. Last year, Deal News says that Newegg offered accessories like activity trackers, portable batteries, and HDMI cables free after the rebate.
Target's Black Friday deals include 10 percent off tech and entertainment items and free shipping for all orders. Deal News says that they had some of the best deals on TVs and Apple products.
Best Buy is known for iPhone deals, laptops and cheap Blu-ray movies, according to Deal News.
Walmart edged out its competitors on video game consoles, games, and generic TV brands.
