Thousands of kids have a ball at Final Four Dribble event

Each participant received a brand-new Final Four basketball and T-shirt and joined a parade of would-be point guards darting their way down the street near the Alamodome.

Thousands of kids dribbled their way through the heart of San Antonio's Final Four grounds Sunday afternoon as part of the NCAA Final Four Dribble.

Each participant received a brand-new Final Four basketball and T-shirt and joined a parade of would-be point guards darting their way down Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard and then past the Alamodome on their way to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

The dribblers and their families also received free admission to the Final Four Fan Fest inside the convention center.

The Michigan and Villanova basketball bands provided musical entertainment as the youngsters made their way under the I-10 bridge near the Institute of Texan Cultures, which hosted the event.

Michigan and Villanova advanced in Saturday night's two semifinal games and will meet in the NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship Game on Monday night.
