A Reagan High School senior earned another national recognition for her skills on the volleyball court.

Camryn Ennis was chosen to be on the FloVolleyball All-American second team. Ennis is one of two athletes in Texas who received the honorific title.

This is Ennis' third national recognition. She was also chosen to be part of the AVCA Under Armour All-American and USA Today's All-USA teams.

Mike Carter has worked with Ennis since she was 11-years-old as her club coach. He also coached her when she as on varsity with the high school team. Ennis is a setter and hitter.

“You can tell she was a gifted athlete and she had that special "it" factor. She was competitive, refused to lose, worked hard and always wanted more,” said Carter. “Her willingness to put extra time in the gym. Whether its training to get stronger, jump higher, more reps. She was a gym rat. She did every clinic, every camp that we offered.”

According to MaxPreps, Ennis' has had 290 kills, a .258 hitting percentage, 743 assists, 421 digs, 29 blocks and 24 aces for this last season.

Ennis plans to attend the University of Kansas and play volleyball there.

“The school is just amazing. I love the atmosphere, the coaches, the volleyball team, they're so much fun. And I'm just ready to play at the next level and see what I can do for the team,” said Ennis.

Ennis is just as successful on the court as she is in the classroom. She has a 105 GPA and in the top 10% of her class. Ennis said she doesn't know if she'll pursue medical school or continue volleyball as a career.
