A man is dead, a woman was shot in the neck, and no suspects are in custody following a shooting early Wednesday inside of a northwest-side hotel room.
Police say both the man and woman were inside of a hotel room at the Best Western Plus in the 4800 block of Manitou Drive when they were both shot at by two suspects.
The woman, who officers said was in her twenties, was found by witnesses running through the hall of the hotel after getting shot in the neck. She was transported to University Hospital and is in stable condition.
A man, also in his twenties, was pronounced dead on arrival by first responders.
Authorities said two suspects fled the scene following the shooting. According to police, a black male took off in a silver Dodge Charger, which was stolen from the woman who was shot. Police say a black woman took off behind him in a Kia Soul.
