Killer nurse Genene Jones indicted in two more infant deaths

Genene Jones was indicted on the murder of two more infants that took place in 1981 and 1982, according to DA Nico Lahood.

A press release sent to KENS 5 shows the new charges are for 8-month-old Richard Nelson who was murdered in 1981 and 4 and a half-month-old Patrick Zavala in 1982.

Jones bond is set at $1 million for each new charge.

Jones is set to get out of prison in March of 2018 after serving 32 years for the murder of a 15-month-old girl while she was a nurse at the now University Hospital.

In the past month, Jones was indicted on two more charges for the death of a 2-year-old and 11-year-old in her care.

Prior to her mandatory release, she will be extradited back to Bexar County where she will await trial for the new charges.

Jones is currently incarcerated in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Lane Murray Unit in Gatesville, Texas.
