SAN ANTONIO – Who doesn’t love free cookies? Well, that was the incentive that won one San Antonio man the top prize and a spot in an H-E-B Commercial.
On Friday, H-E-B announced Wilfred H. Shipley of San Antonio as the winner in the H-E-B Primo Picks Video Showdown earning him not only a spot in a Super Bowl commercial but also $25,000.
Shipley’s video features an adult with a sweet tooth who meets a young entrepreneur giving away free cookies. The adult takes advantage of the offer and has a mouthful of cookies. The boy then offers the man a cup of H-E-B MooTopia Milk, but for a price.
The exchange between the two ends with the impressed adult simply muttering, “Well played.”
“H-E-B Primo Picks are one-of-a-kind products our customers love as much as we do,” said Cory Basso, H-E-B Group Vice President of Marketing and Advertising. “Texans jumped at the chance to showcase their favorite items with some fun videos that capture the unique spirit of our H-E-B Primo Picks.”
For the past months, Texans produced catchy videos about their favorite H-E-B Primo Picks products as part of the H-E-B Primo Picks Video Showdown Contest. After thousands of submissions, the top 10 finalists were chosen and then Texans voted for their favorite.

Grand Prize ($25,000 and spot in H-E-B Super Bowl Commercial): Free Cookies (San Antonio – Wilfred H. Shipley)
Second Place (H-E-B groceries for a year): Jam Band (Houston – Micah Edwards)
Third Place (H-E-B gas for a year): Animal Picnic (Belton – Molly Kathryn Brady)
