CORPUS CHRISTI – Padre Island National Seashore is reopening their beaches to driving and camping on Tuesday.
In a release, Padre Island stated the recent extreme tides have left sharp embankments in places that will make it difficult to avoid the high tides. Trees that washed onto shore during Hurricane Harvey may also impede travel during higher tides. More specifically, the last 20 miles before Mansfield Channel.
The park stated that you should continue to monitor beach condition reports.
If you have any questions, you ca reach the park visitor center between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. or call (361)949-8068.
