Packers WR Jordy Nelson adopts S.A. baby before beating Cowboys

When Jordy Nelson isn’t generating fantasy points for leagues across the country on Sundays with the Green Bay Packers, he works as an advocate for adoption.

Jockey Being Family, an organization dedicated to supporting non-profit organizations that help families adopt children, announced a new family to represent them last year: The Nelsons.

Nelson became an ambassador when his family adopted their first child, Brooks.

This past week, shortly before Jordy and the Packers beat the Cowboys in Dallas, they added another member to their family: Adda Jo.

Bexar County Judge David Canales presided over the adoption and shared a picture of the ceremony on Facebook:

The post reads:

Among the many things I get to do as a judge, one of my favorite is presiding over adoptions. Today I was blessed to have Emily and Jordy Nelson come before me to adopt little Adda Jo! This is a wonderful couple and a beautiful family. Congratulations to the Nelsons! They personify service and exemplify love. #ILoveAdoptions
