The Pearl announced that it will host a two-day Dia de los Muertos celebration on Nov. 1 and 2. It will include a community altar, alters from local artists, a procession, and live music and performances.
The area says that they will undergo a complete transformation to reflect the customs of the traditional Mexican holiday which honors the dead and falls after Halloween.
The first day, Wednesday, Nov. 1, will feature activities and performances for and by children. The second day, Thursday, Nov. 2, will feature local artists talking about their altars, a performance program, a formal procession, and lots of food and music.
The Pearl says that all guests are encouraged to bring a photo or memento to contribute to the community altar.
