Hard Rock Café celebrates birthday with 71 cent burgers

SAN ANTONIO – Time to party like it’s 1971 with 71 cent burgers at Hard Rock Café San Antonio!

In honor of its 46th birthday, Hard Rock Café San Antonio will offer civil servants any Legendary Burger for only 71 cents on Wednesday, June 14.

To receive any Legendary Burger for 71 cents, civil servants must present proper identification including badge stating their eligible status. The offer does not include World Burger Tour burgers. It is valid only for dining-in and limited to one item per person.

The iconic brand was born when two music-lovers, Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton, opened the first Hard Rock Café in London on June 14, 1971. After Eric Clapton asked to hang his guitar in that location, the owners soon created an atmosphere that combined music, memorabilia, and food for a one-of-a-kind guest experience.

“At 46 years old, Hard Rock Cafe locations across the country will help celebrate the brand’s birthday in true rock-star fashion,” said Alex Merchan, Senior Director of Marketing for Hard Rock International. “Civil servants with a valid badge are encouraged to stop by their local cafe to enjoy a sizzling Legendary Burger for only 71 cents.”

Along with the great burger deal, Hard Rock Café will be bringing San Antonio’s first responders to the stage for the first-ever Guns Vs Rockers Burger Eating Content.

Members of the San Antonio Police Department and the San Antonio Fire Department will compete for Burger Eating Champs of San Antonio bragging rights. Each team will have four members and six minutes to gobble down as many Hard Rock burgers as they can.

You definitely don’t want to miss this face-off! The contest begins at 11:30 a.m. on the Hard Rock Café street-level stage.

The Hard Rock Café San Antonio is located at 111 West Crockett Street #210. For more information on the contest and celebration, you can visit www.hardrock.com/sanantonio
