One local man seems to think when a police officer takes your picture, it could end up on the Internet.
"I think they've gone way too far, she's not a felon," says Greg Shawver. He says a Selma police officer took his wife's picture during a traffic stop.
Schertz police also uses the photo system, and they showed KENS 5 how it works. They say snapping your photo behind the wheel and entering in your personal info instantly is for your own good.
"A lot of people dont seem to mind it when it's explained to them. It's exclusively for law enforcement," says Chris Hernandez of the Schertz Police Department.
"I don't buy that at all," says Shawver. "Everything they needed was on her driver's license."
We contacted the Selma Police Department, but our calls were not returned.
We're told all area police departments, including the San Antonio Police Department and Selma Police department, use the photo devices.
