Come on, admit it, you are at least a little bit curious about this sighting. There have been numerous mysterious sightings in South Texas. And, now, another bizarre, hairless creature spotted in Oklahoma.
It is being called the "Dry Gulch Chupacabra" or even "Kojak" by some.
It was found roaming the countryside and this creature was captured, alive.
An Oklahoma man set up a trap on his back porch. The capture even made the news on KOTV television in Oklahoma.
The wrinkly, bald creature was spotted by several people wandering around mostly at night before being caught.
There have been similar findings in recent years in Texas also believed to be one of those legendary blood sucking Chupacabras. Two occurred in Dewitt County and Cuero, Texas.
But experts have been quick to disagree, as KENS-5 reporters have documented in the past, calling it a coyote or even part wolf.
The Dry Gulch Chupacabra was taken to a wildlife animal rescue center in Claremore, Oklahoma, where animal caretakers had to take a much closer look to figure out what this really is.
"She came in, her head was covered up and I looked. I said, oh, it's a baby wallaby. Then I started to grab her and I said, wait a minute, and then I saw the head and said, no, that's a raccoon," says Annette King Tucker, with the Wild Heart Ranch Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation.
Tucker says says the raccoon has an advanced case of mange, and will grow its hair back and eventually look like a normal raccoon. So, the mystery was solved - at least, this time!
