Chopper 5 HD hovered over a dramatic situation Friday evening on the east side.
Around 5 p.m. a woman was pinned in her SUV by flood waters at IH-35 and Salado Creek.
After 15 minutes, firefighters slowly made their way to her, and carried her to safety.
It is unclear if the woman's SUV was swept into the waters, or if she drove around the barricades.
High-water rescues such as this are far from free. There is a charge of $400 per person.
If the woman in this rescue was found to have gone around any barriers, she will be fined more.
To prevent unnecessarily dangerous rescues, the City of San Antonio tacks on a $1,000 fee if anyone is caught going around barricades.
