SAN ANTONIO -- The owner of a rare Italian sports car is offering a $5,000 cash reward for information that leads to its whereabouts.

The vintage car was taken from Kermit O'Neal's home in Monte Vista back in August.

It was taken along with a truck and trailer and a Wounded Warrior go kart. The 1959 Stanguellini is the only item still missing.

The small sports car is worth about $100,000, but it's worthless to whoever has it, O'Neal said. It's known worldwide, so it can never be shown, raced or sold again.

O'Neal is connected to Alamo Karts, which sponsors a Wounded Warrior Go Kart program. The only go kart was also taken, but it was found a few weeks later.

The man operating the go kart was arrested for possession of marijuana. His arrest led to a man in custody on other charges who may have valuable information about the vintage racecar, but he isn't talking.

Anyone with information can call (210) 828-5511 or email info@alamobmw.com. For more informationi on the Wounded Warrior Go Kart program, go to www.alamokarts.com.
