A class project is now a neighborhood centerpiece with students from UTSA putting the final touches on a new neighborhood garden.

For the last several weeks, students from the university have been working on the Beacon Hill Garden Project.

With funding provided by the Green Spaces Alliance, the students constructed the garden and a rain-catching system that will allow residents to grow flowers and vegetables in the garden year around.

Community members chose from five designs that were created by UTSA architecture students.
