SAN ANTONIO -- Eddie Moreno Jr. was with two cousins March 26, 2011 when they became victims in a road rage incident. They were shot at by someone in another vehicle.

A bullet hit Moreno in the cheek and became lodged in his spine.

Eddie is now paralyzed from the neck down and dependent on a ventilator. Meanwhile, the shooter is still on the run. The incident happened near Loop 410 and Broadway around 2:30 a.m.

Eddie was a senior at Alamo Heights High School when the incident happened. He played basketball and had plans to attend college. He wanted to become a basketball coach.

A group calling itself "Team Eddie" started "Operation Bring Eddie Home" and over the past 8 months they have worked around the clock to renovate Eddie's home.

It took 300 volunteers and 80 businesses to make it happen.

Eddie and his family arrived at the home Monday with about 200 friends, family and well-wishers cheering them on. They will spend Thanksgiving together under the same roof.
