It wasn't a typical cleanup taking place Friday morning in a local cemetery.
A driver barreled into the graveyard after two separate accidents, police said, and now he's under arrest on suspicion of being drunk at the wheel.
Just before midnight Thursday, police said a Chevy Avalanche and a red pickup were involved in a minor accident at the intersection of at Saltillo and Cupples.
Officers said the driver of a red Chevy fled the scene, heading westbound on Saltillo.
Police said when the suspected DWI driver approached Cupples Road, he ran into a green Chrysler heading northbound.
The impact sent the red pickup spinning into San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.
Police said the driver took off on foot and was apprehended several blocks away. He was taken into custody on suspicion of DWI.
Police said the victim in the second crash, the driver of the green Chrysler, was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
