Spanking your kids could lead to problems for them later in life, according to a new report.

A study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal analyzed several studies on the topic and found kids who were physically punished had more mental health disorders and slower cognitive development.

Researchers said the findings show parents should find more constructive ways to discipline their kids without striking them.
