Bullets were flying on a southwest-side street leaving two people injured and police with nearly half a block of evidence to sort through.
The shooting happened around 4 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of SW Military Drive.
Police say the victims were driving along SW Military Dr. when a dark colored car pulled up next to them and opened fire.
So far, 18 rounds have been found in the car alone, and investigators say they are still finding more. They said the shell casings were spread out over about a half a block. The street was shut down while the investigation continued.
Police say two people were hit, but amazingly, neither was seriously injured. They were taken to the hospital to be checked out.
A motive for the shooting remains unknown.
