SAN ANTONIO -- Six people were to the hospital early Thursday morning after police say a suspected drunken driver crashed head on with a pickup truck while driving the wrong way on Loop 1604.
Several drivers reported a PT Cruiser traveling east in the westbound lanes of Loop 1604 and La Cantera Boulevard around 2 a.m.
Not long after, police said they responded to a violent crash between a PT Cruiser and a pickup truck in the the inside lane of Loop 1604.
Police said the 20-year-old driver of the PT Cruiser appeared intoxicated and was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. She was taken to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Five passengers in the pickup truck were also transported to the hospital.
