SAN ANTONIO -- Several businesses on Fredericksburg Road will need new windows as police look for the shooter or shooters behind Wednesday afternoon's shooting spree.
Shots were first reported to police just before 4 p.m. Wednesday.
According to authorities, the shooters targeted the McDonald's in the 7200 block of NW Loop 410, Grady's BBQ on Fredericksburg Road, a barber shop at Zarzamora and Woodlawn, as well as a Fredericksburg Road office building.
At this time, police are not sure if it was a real gun, a pellet gun or a slingshot that caused the damage.
Some business owners said this isn't the first time Fredericksburg Road has been the target of the same type of vandalism. While it worries some, one pizzeria said they won’t let the criminal mischief deter them.
“It’s frustrating to hear," said Jacob Valenzuela of Deco Pizzeria. "A lot of revitalization has been ongoing for the past years so we don't consider this a deterrence it will make us stronger and we will persevere and get together and won't let these criminals impact our business."
Balcones Heights Police said they responded to another shooting at Jim’s restaurant, on Fredericksburg, at around 9:30 p.m. Officials said a customer inside was actually hit, but is expected to be just fine.
