Surprise and shock were common emotions for dozens of Catholics across San Antonio on Monday after photos taken at a recent Mass show unexplained images.

“I definitely think it’s the work of the Holy Spirit,” said Lisa Baca.

All the talk stems from a Mass that was held Sunday evening. Maureen Ott said her daughter-in-law took photos of a Mass being held by internationally known evangelist and visionary Alan Ames.

After Ott developed the photos something unusual appeared. It looked like a halo with a cross inside.

“I know it’s not a reflection, I use that camera all the time, I take pictures all the time and I go develop them at Sam’s and nothing like that has ever come up,” said Ott.

The mass where the photo’s was taken was the day before Ames concluded a week long visit in San Antonio. Some believe the image has something to do with Ames’ visit.

“To me it's a definite sign of Alan’s ministry and the work that he's doing and the many healings that we believe are taking place and the many miracles that people are praying for,” said Baca.
