A hot spot for college students to live in San Antonio has become a hot spot for crime.

According to police records, in the past year the San Antonio Police Department was called out to The Reserve apartment complex on Babcock Road 378 times.

On Sunday, officers responded to the 250-unit complex for a report of a shooting.  That case is still under investigation.

Earlier this month, resident Christopher Coudle said two men held him at knife point inside his apartment then stole his gaming system

Back in November, a 19-year old resident was shot in the leg after a party got out of hand.

In the past year, police have been called out to The Reserve 19 times for fights, 29 for burglaries, and 37 for vehicle burglaries.

"I was actually just a victim of a car robbery last weekend," said resident Tyler Meredith.  The UTSA student said more security is needed.

"Really anyone can get in even though it's a gated community," he added.

The Reserve apartment complex said it has community officer who lives on site and points out crime can happen anywhere.

According to police records, officers were called out to The Outpost apartment complex, also located near UTSA, more than 250 times during the same 12-month period.
