In Live Oak, police say a Peeping Tom who was using a camera to videotape children at a city pool could now be facing some serous jail time.
According to authorities, 49-year-old Jeffery Carlton David liked to hang out at the local city pool, located right down the street from the Live Oak police station.
Detectives have been keeping an eye on the suspect for over a month. Now David has been charged with everything from possession illegal drugs to child porn.
On more than one occasion David, who was accompanied by his young teenage son, was seen at the pool with a video camera.
"He was not pointing the camera at his child...he was pointing the camera at other people," says Sgt. Anita Seamans with the Live Oak Police Department. "He was pointing the camera at children and young women."
After further investigating, officers searched David's north Bexar County home on July 21, discovering drugs and child porn.
Detectives say the 49-year-old was even exposing his young son to inappropriate images."We found pornography in the room of a child under the age of 18," said Seamans.
David was immediately arrested, but bonded out of jail a short time later.
He was taken into police custody again on Tuesday after more charges were filed against him. However within 24 hours he was back out on the streets. Live Oak police say the case is still open and additional charges are pending against the suspect.
David's son no longer lives with him. Child Protective Services is also looking into the case.
