SAN ANTONIO -- A routine disturbance call between a mother and daughter led police to a child sex trafficking case.

San Antonio police said the mother and daughter had unrelated but outstanding warrants. However, the 18-year-old daughter had a shocking secret about her mother's alleged drug habit.

According to an arrest warrant, the 44-year-old mom forced her daughter to perform sex acts in exchange for $20 bags of cocaine. The daughter told police the prostitution had gone on since she was 15 and stopped in August.

Police said it started when the mother took the teen to a residence on South Pine and Westfall. Her mother allegedly compelled the teen to go into a room with a man named Johnnie, who had sex with her in exchange for a bag of cocaine.

The teen continued to trade sex for drugs with Johnnie because her mother threatened to hit her with a pan, according to the warrant. Investigators said the girl recalled going to the man's home and into a room with at least five other men.

Police said the mother confessed to taking her child to the cocaine dealer at least 15 times in sex-for-drugs trades. The mother was charged with trafficking a person under 18 and compelling a minor into prostitution. She remains in jail on bonds that total $125,000.

According to the warrant, investigators have also identified Johnnie. He will likely face criminal charges, too.
