San Antonio police said a man in his early 20s robbed a Pet Smart on Monday night.
At about 7 p.m., a man wearing a yellow bandanna to cover his face walked into the pet store, pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded cash.
The suspect took off in a 1997 maroon 4-door Honda Civic. Police investigated another robbery earlier in the day where the suspect also wore a yellow bandanna. Investigators are trying to determine whether it was the same suspect in each case.
Most of the pet stores had surveillance video, and police are reviewing the tapes.
"Our investigators will look at any robberies dealing with pet stores and hopefully we'll be able to link him to any other robberies that he's committed," Sgt. Chris Benavides said.
The suspect wore blue jeans, a blue sweatshirt with a hoodie and a white T-shirt. He is described as 5-foot-5 and 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
