Officers responded to a shooting near Palo Alto College on the south side. It happened just before 6 a.m. in the 3300 block of Cocoanino.

Witnesses say someone in a small truck opened fire inside a home. The victim was shot at least one time in his chest.

No one else inside the house was hurt.

The victim has been hospitalized, and KENS 5 has not confirmed the victim's condition.

KENS 5's Marvin Hurst has confirmed that the victim was sitting at his dining room table -- near the back of his house -- when he was shot. Earlier reports that the victim was in his living room during the shooting were incorrect.

"someone in a small truck opened fire inside a home" My question is how did the small truck get inside the home? Was it invited to dinner or what?
