A father of two died Saturday after crashing his Red Corvette just outside of Bexar County. DPS troopers say they clocked the car traveling more than 40 miles per hour over the speed limit.
The crash happened at about eight o'clock Saturday night northwest of San Antonio. According to troopers, 32-year-old Daniel Ramon Estrada sped up after being clocked at 90 miles per hour along Park Road in Bandera County. Shortly afterward, he lost control of this Corvette.
Troopers say Estrada's car ran off the road, struck several road signs and then burst into flames.
He was trapped in the car and died at the scene.
At this point in the investigation, DPS says they are not calling the incident a high-speed chase
