An arrest warrant says a 24-year-old San Antonio woman could not escape her boyfriend. San Antonio police say he forced the victim from her home at gunpoint over the weekend. They say his plan was to keep her as his girlfriend, but his plan backfired. He was arrested Sunday.
Police say 27-year-old Dennis Donnie kidnapped his girlfriend at gunpoint from her home in the 4000 block of Hilton Head on Saturday. The alleged victim had called a friend and her grandmother on three-way calling, the arrest document says.
The friend and grandmother told police they heard the 27-year-old suspect threaten the woman in the background: "If I can't have you, nobody can," he reportedly said. "I'll kill you."
According to the warrant, the friend drove to the woman's home to check on her. She allegedly found her friend's back door kicked in. The friend reportedly went inside of the home. The arrest document says she walked into the home to find the victim and suspect in the living room. The victim was allegedly crying, the suspect reportedly holding a weapon that was turned to the investigating friend.
Police say Donnie forced the woman to leave the home at gunpoint. According to the warrant, she watched Donnie use a gun to coerce the victim out of the house and into a truck.
Dennis Donnie was arrested and booked on a charge of aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon. He remains in the Bexar County Detention Center on a $30,000 bond.
