SAN ANTONIO -- Two people are dead and a man is in the hospital after police say their car was found riddled with bullets early Friday morning.

San Antonio police said a man and a woman, both in their 20s, were found fatally shot around 2 a.m. inside a car near Fresno and I-10. Their names have not been released.

Another passenger survived and was taken to University Hospital.

The car came to a rest in a field alongside the road in the 1100 block of Fresno near a convenience store.

SAPD Capt. Tracy Powers said they know little about the shooters.

"We're getting a statement from the survivor right now hoping it will develop a lead and some better suspects," he said early this morning.

Police later said the survivor only remembered that it was a dark-colored vehicle that targed them.

The survivor told detectives they were coming from Stacy's Sports Bar, 3805 Blanco Road. Detectives said they are investigating a possible confrontation at the bar earlier in the night.

More than 30 shell casings from a semi-automatic weapon were recovered around the victims' vehicle.
