His words are inspirational. But his touch, some say, is electrifying. Catholic faith healer Alan Ames is traveling the world, making a week-long stop in San Antonio to spread God’s message of love.

And maybe, Ames will be witness to a miracle or two.
“What I do is pray and I trust completely in God that he will do the best for each person,” said Ames, before praying at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church Thursday night.
Ames began visiting San Antonio more than a decade ago. Since that time, he’s prayed over tens of thousands of people. Hundreds of them say it’s changed their lives. Where medicine has failed, the prayerful say miracles have taken place. Many are documented.
Arthur Sepulveda wants his counted, too. His chronic pain is gone, after attending holy mass, confession, and Ames’ prayer service.
Sepulveda said, “Alan, somehow, channels God’s grace to other people.”
Ames’ ministry is recognized not just by the faithful, but by the Catholic Church hierarchy-- something seldom done. The 55-year old has his bishop’s support back in Australia and that of the San Antonio Archdiocese.
