SAN ANTONIO -- A man leads San Antonio police on an unexpected car chase through several San Antonio neighborhoods.
It all began around 4:13 p.m. Friday when the suspect driving a silver Toyota 4-Runner tried to evade police in the area near Commerce and Walters, near Splashtown.
Police say the suspect, Luis Guevara, was wanted for the armed robbery of several places.
During the chase Guevara traveling between 60 and 80 miles per hour, moved through Olmos Park, Alamo Heights and the Hildebrand Avenue area.
The chase came to an end when the suspect ditched his car and made a mad dash at an escape near Blanco Road around 4:45 p.m.
But police were there every step of the way. They arrested Guevara.
Now he and another suspect are behind bars. Police say they are responsible for at least seven robbery cases.
Detectives say they have recovered stolen items found in their possession. Both men face aggravated robbery charges.
