San Antonio-- Juan Mendez opened CABO Seafood and Bar at 20626 Stone Oak Parkway about a year ago and wanted to offer fine dining, but says his customers wanted fun and music.
Residents who live off the 20600 block of Stone Oak Parkway in the Canyons at Stone Oak neighborhood called police 7 times last year complaining about the noise. So far this year residents have called police 11 times.
The Stone Oak Property Owners Association is looking into the situation. Residents have also complained to city councilmember Elisa Chan. A spokesperson for her public office said she did not have a comment.
Mendez said he is now concerned about his safety claiming a few residents have approached him and his staff in an aggressive manner.
One resident told KENS 5 she now sleeps with earplugs to drown out the loud music. She said the base thumping goes on for hours especially on Friday and Saturday.
