Mission Verde is located inside the Old Cooper Middle School which was closed down. The city went green by reusing the building and turning it into a learning center.
The program is called "Youth Build San Antonio" and it’s part of the group "San Antonio Youth Centers." It's exactly what mayor Julian Castro was looking for.
Construction supervisor and instructor Keith Ingram tells us about the program and how volunteers learn the disciplines of a real work environment.
