Sorority holds rubber duck race to benefit earthquake victims in Mexico

Two sororities teamed up to raise money for earthquake victims in Mexico by holding a rubber ducky race on campus.

The Phi Delta Kappa and Zeta Chi sororities at Trinity University came up with a fun idea to help earthquake victims in Mexico: a rubber ducky race.

On Friday, they raced the rubber ducks down the long fountain outside of Northrup Hall. Overall, they raised a little over $300 and they say they’re happy to play a small part when it comes to helping those who need it.

The winners of the race will be awarded small cash prizes, gift cards, and, of course, bragging rights.
