San Antonio River Walk, downtown
People line the river banks, right up close to the lighted floats as they wind their way along the San Antonio River Walk.
You'll have a great time if you buy your tickets presale, or get a reservation at one of the restaurants on the river. If you opt to sit along the river, you should know there are no vendors to provide food. Check with any restrictions at the site where you buy your tickets, but you should be able to bring in a SMALL cooler. I mean REALLY small, because the chairs are packed in tight and close.
Floats line up at the Cool Cafe near Municipal Auditorium. So, it's nice to meander along there prior to the event. Everyone is in high spirits and will be happy to pose for a quick snapshot. Then find your seat and enjoy.
