MARIO MANNINGHAM: KEY CATCH HELPS PACE NEW YORK GIANTS TO SUPER BOWL WIN
Credit: AP
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Eli Manning may have gotten the Super Bowl MVP award. But it was Mario Manningham who put the New York Giants in position to win their second NFL title in four years. It was his 38-yard tiptoe sideline grab that kept an 88-yard New York touchdown drive going. And Amhad Bradshaw ran the final six yards to score the TD that pushed the Giants into the lead with less than a minute left. A last-second desperation heave into the end zone by Tom Brady fell to the turf as time expired. The win is the second straight victory by the Giants over the Patriots. The first one, in 2008, ended the Pats' bid for a perfect season.
