Did you know the number one reason for brain surgery among children is a condition called Hydrocephalus. This is pressure and swelling of the brain that happens when too much cerebrospinal fluid collects in cavities of the brain.
Over a million Americans live with this condition which can lead to s evere brain damage, vision impairment, or death in some cases.
That's why the group Hydro Angels over Texas was formed. The group's goal is to bring people with hydrocephalus together, creating awareness of the condition, and raising funds to help those living with hydrocephalus in Texas. And that's why they are holding a family fun day at Raymond Russell Park Saturday, October 22.
Register between 8:30 and 9 in the morning for the Boot Scoot'n Walk.
Founder of Hydroangelsovertexas.org, Sheri Burdine, says if you mention my name they will waive your $10.00 registration. So if you feel like spending a family fun day at the park for a great cause, stop by and enjoy!
