Have you heard the folks out there talking? Everywhere I go, I hear it, folks making predictions or singing the praises of Manu Ginobili, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker or George Hill. It's the annual right of the spring here in San Antonio, although some years it takes a little longer to really catch that Spurs fever.

Lets face it, we are spoiled, 4 championships in the last decade will do that, so it's natural sometimes, especially when the team has a sup par regular season, it takes a big series win to get the fans really involved.

Now that the Dallas Mavericks have been dispatched, it's all fans on board, and here in San Antonio, that means jumping in with both feet and them some. That means for most of us, it's no longer just a sports story, it's a way of life and will be as long as this team stays alive and judging by the the fellas performance in the Dallas series, the life expectancy for the Spurs looks to be long and healthy.

So how do the Spurs match up with the Suns? The answer to that is extremely well, I mean the history of this series proves it. The Spurs have owned the Suns over the years and there is no reason to believe they will not again this year. Don't let that 7th seed thing fool you, Pop could care less. it's all about getting to the post season and then turning a team built for the playoffs loose.

I picked the Spurs to win the Mavs series in 6, (no applause necessary) so why change a good thing? The Spurs will win at least one in Phoenix and take control of the series here in games 3 & 4. So again, I will take the Spurs in 6, although it would not surprise me if they did it sooner.

My good friend, weather man, Bill Taylor always reminds me that he makes predictions everyday and puts a percentage on it, so Taylor, the is a 100 percent chance Timmy and the boys will be playing the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.

Go Spurs Go!
