Thanksgiving is a no brainer time of year for me.
When the much-hyped November date rolls around on the calendar, I don't think about it much.
The reason?
I find things to be thankful for every single day of my life.
For me, Thanksgiving simply becomes a day when I realize the other people, are also in the act of giving thanks with me.
It's not to say that I wake up happy, grateful and enlightened every day..I don't.
What I do practice however, is consciously looking for things that make my life better, easier, happier.
I find an abundance of things.
Usually they are people, sometimes they are things.
In fact, I gravitate towards positive things, positive people, and positive places. All our things that allow me to recognize things I need to be grateful for.
Negative energy is one of the most uncomfortable things in the world to me.
I can pick up on a person's energy miles away. The first time I meet someone, I know.
Experience has taught me that II tend to shy away from people who have negative vibes encircling them. It's foreign to my person.
I do appreciate the fact that the Thanksgiving holiday allows us to reflect on our thankfulness in a specific way.
I do however believe, that if you practice gratefulness and exercise gratitude towards those who deserve, you'll find many reasons to celebrate the joys that surround you constantly.
