According to KENS 5 meteorologist Paul Mireles, there is a 60 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms Friday.

Paul said the best chances for rain are expected in the afternoon beginning around 3 p.m.

There is also a 50 percent chance of rain on Saturday, and the morning is expected to be cloudy.

Cooler temperatures are kicking off the work week with lows in the mid 40s. High temperatures are also expected to be in the 60s Monday and Tuesday.

Guadalupe County emergency management also posted on Facebook that several roads were closed due to heavy rain overnight. However, it was not immediately clear how many roads continued to be affected Friday morning.
