Multiple crashes on I-10 that killed two people briefly shut down all westbound lanes between exits 637 and 628 near the Buc-ees in Luling.
TxDOT has since cleared the scene and the lanes are back open, but two people have reportedly died. One died in a pedestrian fatality in which a car hit someone at mile marker 627 at 6:30 a.m.

The second accident occurred around 12:27 p.m. at mile marker 637 in which a two-vehicle crash resulted in another fatality.
One Luling resident added a video to his Facebook page and said that a man may have been shooting at passing cars in the area when he was struck and killed by one of them. KENS 5 has not been able confirm this information.
